2006 Ministry Highlights

GHANA, WEST AFRICA

In conjunction with Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child distribution to 9000 orphans and school age children

SRI LANKA

A return visit in the fall partnering with Gateway Outreach ministry to over 3000 orphans, children and adults affected in the tsunami devastated region

BOSNIA

Return visit to war-torn region of northern Bosnia. Working with Finnish Free Foreign Mission to reach over 1200 children and orphans in the region.  Visited rural gypsy villages sharing the gospel with children.

TEXAS

After all Texas is a "whole 'nother country" as we natives like to say. Two family camps sponsored by Joni & Friends Ministry. Serving those affected by disabilities for the eighth consecutive year.

TANZANIA

Five women partnered with Sunshine After Rain Ministries to teach at a women’s training conference in the northern Vuga region of Tanzania.  Organized by former A.L.A.R.M. staff member over 90 women attended the seminar.  Local community outreach included ministry and humanitarian aid delivered to over 100 orphaned children at Blind School.

CHINA

Invited by the local Chinese Government to participate in the 90th year celebration of the Taian orphanage was a great honor.  Sunshine After Rain Ministries was seated on stage with local dignitaries as well as the mayor of the city!  We are considered valued friends and partners in helping the orphans.  This opened future doors for even greater ministry in China’s closed orphanages.  University outreach performances in Jinan and Beijing reaching over 500 Master and Doctoral candidates. The disabled children of Jinan Orphanage participated in this program as well. Third year visit to Beijing House of Hope orphanage, contact with Sunshine After Rain Ministries partner provided new industrial washing machine for their facility.

INDIA

Over one billion lives in India are lost in darkness.  Our first visit to India partnering with Gateway Outreach, was a huge success and harvest.  Seeing over 5,000 people in rural villages and slums many accepted the Good News!

RUSSIA

Evangelism and orphanage campaign with East West International to children in the Voronezh region. This marked our 14th trip to the former Soviet Union!
